Automated GO Board - CheGoChe
Collaborators: Rishi Basdeo, Anthony Kyu, juan Luis Vasquez
CheGoChe
This project was inspired by my childhood love for the board game GO. I was training to play GO for several years until I got busy with schoolwork in Junior High School.
At Carnegie Mellon University, I decided to rekindle my passion in a different way. We entered the Hackathon Build 18 with the determination to build the world's first automated GO board. The system has several novelties:
A unique scissor mechanism that can remove any pieces on the board
A gantry system that can place pieces onto the board
A camera that can detect the position of each piece
A game logic controller that can apply the game rules
Our team won:
NSA Most Innovative Second Place Award
Officer Choice Award
