Engineering Entrepreneurship

During my time at Carnegie Mellon University, I have been intensively involved with entrepreneurship endeavors, ranging from taking several startup classes to participating in the venture business competition. We spun off one of the class projects into something bigger - Sensify Inc. We have just finished the Ascender Incubator Program in Pittsburgh and now we are initiating our pilot study with the Pittsburgh International Airport.

Student Today Leader Forever

Student Today Leader Forever was a national organization with university chapters across the nation. The main goal of STLF was to reach out to the communities that needed help. One of the flagship programs was Pay It Forward Trip. It was a 9-day volunteering trip during the spring break and participants would travel to 5 or 6 different states and complete a volunteering project in each city.

During my two-and-a-half-year involvement with the organization, I have been both a participant and a leader at the UW-Madison STLF Chapter.

Resident Assistant (House Fellow)

During my junior year, I applied to be a house fellow (RA). After several rounds of interviews, I was very honored to be selected as the House Fellow for the Sullivan Residence Hall.

Throughout the year, I managed around 70 students, planned events, performed duty rounds, and promoted inclusivity in the community.

Volunteering

Outside of school, I also engaged with the community through various volunteering projects.

Over the years I have been involved with different organizations and events such as Urban League where I was a STEM tutor and Volunteering Solutions where I served as an international volunteer in Thailand.

More recently, I have been involved with the Pre-Scientist Pen Pal program to help more people learn about STEM
